Model Description:
Dragonfly is a deliberately simple RC glider model, controlled on 2 axes (vertical rudder and elevator).
The model is constructed in a classic wood construction, with a fuselage composed of milled panels and a carbon fiber tube as the rear arm. The wings are cambered, double-dihedral, with a thin, flat-convex profile, combining simplicity of construction with good flight characteristics.
To facilitate the transport of the model , which is mainly designed for slope flying, the wings are divisible and the elevator
It's designed for easy disassembly. The wings are attached to the fuselage with elastic bands and are therefore less sensitive to slightly rougher landings.
Additionally, if necessary, you can easily insert a foldable engine mount between the wings or equip the model with a hook* for
the elastic launch, making it usable even on flat terrain.
The hook is not included in the kit, use an elastic band of the right size for the model!
Flight characteristics
Thanks to its small size and low weight, the model can be used in many places, for example on small slopes,
to test flight conditions or, with a launch via an elastic band or an auxiliary engine, even on flat ground.
Thanks to the generous dihedral and the wing profile used, the model has docile flight characteristics.
Dragonfly is a lightweight model for light to moderate conditions and also responds quite well to thermals.
It is advisable to avoid flying conditions with strong winds.
